Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using the The Platinum Card® from American Express, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.
If you're a resident of our neighbor to the north — or can easily reposition to one of several major Canadian cities — and have been thinking about a trip to Singapore, then this is a deal you should consider. Star Alliance partners United and ANA are currently offering excellent business class fares to the Lion City from Vancouver (YVR), Toronto (YYZ), Montreal (YUL) and a handful of other Canadian departure points starting as low as $1,940 round-trip.
You'll find quite a bit of availability between May and November for this deal, even throughout the summer months, and most of these fares have no minimum stay requirement. You don't need any tricks to get these prices, so just use Google Flights to find the dates you want, then book with Orbitz, Expedia or directly with the airline itself.
Most of these itineraries have one reasonable connection in Tokyo (NRT) for ANA routings, or San Francisco (SFO) or Los Angeles (LAX) for United routings, but you can also find two-stop options from smaller cities in Canada, including Edmonton (YEG), Winnipeg (YWG) and Calgary (YYC) between $2,000 and $2,700 round-trip. Also, for some of these trips, you may be on Air Canada metal on the legs between Canada and the US connection point.
