It just might be the most amazing vacation offer you’ll see all year.
River cruise line AmaWaterways is offering multiday land packages worth thousands of dollars to guests who reserve a river cruise by the end of March.
That’s right, complimentary land packages.
Under the terms of the offer, AmaWaterways is offering a complimentary pre- or post-cruise land package lasting two, three or even four nights as an add-on when travelers reserve select Europe river cruises scheduled to take place in 2024 and 2025.
The deadline to take advantage of the offer is March 31.
Like the cruises, the land packages will all take place in Europe and are designed to complement the sailings to which they are tied.
For would-be Europe cruisers, it’s an appealing offer. With AmaWaterways’ compliments, the land packages will take you to some of the most iconic places in Europe — places you wouldn’t otherwise be able to visit on a river cruise alone.
We’re talking such destinations as:
Lake Como in Italy
Some places simply have to be seen to be believed, and lovely Lake Como, with its azure waters and impressive lakeside villas, is one of them. During a three-night add-on land package to this celebrated destination, you’ll experience the wind tousling your hair as you board a boat for a scenic ride along the shores of Lake Como before exploring its stunning pearl, Bellagio, home to postcard-perfect views and cobbled streets.
The Lake Como tour can be added on to two of AmaWaterways’ most popular cruises on the Rhine River: the seven-night Rhine Castles & Swiss Alps itinerary and the seven-night Swiss Alps & Rhine Castles itinerary. These itineraries follow nearly the full length of the Rhine River between Amsterdam in the north of Europe and Basel, Switzerland, to the south.
The French Riviera
Step into the paintings of Paul Cezanne in his birthplace, Aix-en-Provence, before touring Nice, the scenic capital of the French Riviera nestled on the banks of the Mediterranean Sea. On this three-night package, you will also head to the hilltop town of Eze and medieval Monaco-Ville before taking in the luxury and beauty of Monte Carlo, famous for its opulent casino and annual Grand Prix Formula One race.
The French Riviera package can be added on to AmaWaterways’ seven-night Essence of Burgundy & Provence itinerary, which includes travel on France’s Rhone and Saone rivers.
The Basque Country in Spain
Travel to Guernica, the subject of one of Picasso’s most renowned paintings, on this four-night add-on land package. You’ll visit Guernica’s open-air market, among other sites, as well as Bilbao, where you’ll see the world-famous Guggenheim Museum, designed by Frank Gehry. You’ll also have time to take an evening stroll through San Sebastian’s Old Town and discover the charms of the City by the Bay of Biscay, with the world’s second-highest number of Michelin stars.
The Basque Country tour can be added as a pre-cruise land package to AmaWaterways’ seven-night Taste of Bordeaux itinerary, which includes travel on France’s Garonne and Dordogne rivers in France’s Bordeaux region.
