So, if you’ve been waiting for the right time to book a river cruise, this might be it. Read on to find out the specific details and the itineraries we’re eyeing for ourselves.
Black Friday offer basics
AmaWaterway’s Black Friday offer runs now to Tuesday, Dec. 2, giving travelers a full week to lock in big savings on select river cruises. During the promotion, travelers can receive a complimentary precruise or postcruise land package, perfect for exploring cities like Paris, Prague or Medellín, Colombia, plus $250 cruise savings per person.
This deal is applicable to select 2026 and 2027 departures through Europe or Colombia. Plus, European itineraries exclusively can be combined with AmaWaterways' AirPlus program, which allows you to book flights through the line at competitive and flexible rates.
Where to cruise with AmaWaterways
AmaWaterways has more than 40 itineraries through Europe and Colombia in Europe and Colombia — and many of them qualify for this sale. Here are the details on a few of our favorite destinations that are offering discounts this Black Friday.
Danube River
Cruise the Danube River on AmaWaterways' new Easter Delights departures in March and April 2026. Guests can explore festive Easter markets in cities like Prague and Vienna, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy springtime blossoms and seasonal holiday cuisine, such as the lamb-shaped beránek cakes, along the way. Pick from complimentary precruise or postcruise land packages in Prague or Budapest, Hungary on select itineraries.
Rhine River
AmaWaterways’ Swiss Alps & Rhine Castles itinerary will take you from Basel, Switzerland, to Amsterdam. In addition to overnight stays in both cities, this sailing includes an exclusive tour of Germany’s Lahneck Castle and stops in the storybook town of Strasbourg, France, as well as visits Cologne, Germany, and its massive Gothic cathedral. The Black Friday deal will get you a complimentary 3-night precruise stay in Lake Como.
The rivers of France
For those hoping to explore France’s waterways, AmaWaterways has several excellent options that are part of this sale, including the Paris & Normandy and the Taste of Bordeaux itineraries, both of which are seven-night sailings. For those who want to explore the north of France, visits to Claude Monet’s Giverny and the charming seaside town of Honfleur are included. In Bordeaux, there are winery visits, of course, plus stops at the 17th-century citadel of Blaye.
Depending on the itinerary you book, options include complimentary stays in Paris or the Loire Valley in France, as well as a package in the Spanish cities of San Sebastian and Bilbao.
Magdalena River
In 2025, AmaWaterways became the first major line to operate itineraries on this 1,000-mile Colombian waterway teeming with wildlife and historic villages, earning it a spot on TPG's list of the best places to travel this year. Pick from one of two ships — the 30-room AmaMagdalena or the 32-room AmaMelodia — that traverse one-way, seven-night itineraries from Cartagena to Barranquilla (or the reverse).
Land packages are available in Colombian cities like Cartagena and Medellín.
Bottom line
If you’ve been considering a river cruise as your next vacation, now is the time to save big. With a complimentary land package, $250 in cruise savings per person and the ability to stack the deal with the AirPlus program with European cruise departures, this offer adds major value to an already worthwhile experience.
Wherever you choose to cruise, AmaWaterways’ 2026 and 2027 sailings promise a front-row seat to some of Europe and Colombia’s most iconic scenery, and this offer makes getting there even sweeter. Just be sure to reserve by Dec. 2 to take advantage of this generous offer.
