Packed with historical landmarks and tributes to the arts, London ranks among the world's top destinations. And while there's no shortage of high-end hotels, sometimes it's nice to change things up. That's why we've searched high and low on Airbnb for vacation rentals that are perfect for every style and budget.

Value Deals (under $200 a night)

1. Artsy Two-Bedroom Apartment on Brick Lane

Inside this two-bedroom flat in London's hip Shoreditch neighborhood, you'll find tasteful decor and full-service amenities inside, and right outside, the vibrant art scene of historic Brick Lane. Rates start at $131 per night.

2. Gorgeous London Garden Apartment

This Kennington flat defies simple categorization. There are pipes framing the bed, baby dolls lined up in a row, barbershop and beanbag chairs — not to mention a private garden out back. You won't know how to describe this single-bed pad to your friends, but you'll sure as heck try (an extra pull-out bed is available for 25 pounds (~$32 more). Rates start at $113 per night.

3. Open-Plan Warehouse in Shoreditch

With high ceilings, exposed wooden beams and a greater variety of lighting than most clubs, this converted warehouse near Hackney and Shoreditch really caught our eye and we think it'll catch yours, too. Crash on the couch after a long day of exploring Central London — only a 20-minute Tube ride away — and watch some flicks on the massive projector system. Rates start at $166 per night.

Mid-Tier ($200-$350 per night)

4. Live Next Door to Hugh Grant

Great homes start with good neighbors and at this Airbnb, you'll have the coolest of them all: celebrities! Live mere steps from Golden Globe-winning actor Hugh Grant in this two-bedroom Chelsea flat that comes with a fully stocked kitchen — when nighttime rolls around, you can dine like the stars on nearby Hollywood Road. The apartment fits five guests and can be booked for a five-night minimum-stay starting at $230 per night.

High Roller ($350+ per night)

5. Large Family Home

House all your friends and family in this gorgeous home located in London's Battersea district, just a 10-minute train ride from the city center. Awash in an unmistakably English country theme, this roomy four-bedroom build is large enough to ensure your guests' privacy. Our favorite feature is the long dining room table and open-door patio — a beautiful combination that few city homes have. Book your stay of at least two nights, starting at $399 per night.

6. Stunning Four-Bedroom House with Patio

If you want your crash pad to have the look and feel of a quintessential English home, this might be the place for you. The design is best described as understated British and our favorite feature of this roomy four-bedroom house might just be the outdoor patio. The charming couches, tables and chairs make it the ideal spot to spend an afternoon. A two-night minimum stay is required, with rates starting at $397 per night.

7. Gorgeous Bohemian Chic House

If the stories of a home could be found in the items on its walls, this self-described "characterful" getaway would have enough material for a 10-book series. An elaborate array of furnishings and finishes means there's not a boring corner to be found. Expect to see a Russian Blue cat come and go as he pleases, just one of the many hidden treasures you can bet on finding in this unforgettable home. The nightly rate starts at $524.

8. A Luxury Penthouse From the Movies

Experience a little bit of movie magic in this luxury two-bedroom penthouse so stylish it was featured in the gangster flick Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. The set director had excellent taste: This Airbnb rental offers a full bar, vintage furniture and a library stocked with more than 2,000 books. Throw in its excellent location, right along the Thames, and rooftop views of London's skyline and you've got an Airbnb fit for a king — it's priced for a king too, with four-night minimum stays starting at $757 per night.

Maximize Your Purchase

There are plenty of ways to maximize your stay with points and miles. If you’ve never used Airbnb before, sign up through TPG to get $40 off your first booking — and the gravy train doesn’t stop there. Book through the Delta portal and earn 1 SkyMile for every dollar spent on your stay, and make sure to charge the purchase to a travel rewards card to rack up extra points. Using a card like the Chase Sapphire Preferred will get you 2x points on all travel purchases while the Chase Sapphire Reserve will get you 3x points on an Airbnb stay. When you combine the two, you’re effectively double-dipping with your points earning.

How we chose these cards

Our points-obsessed staff uses a plethora of credit cards on a daily basis. If anyone on our team wouldn’t recommend it to a friend or a family member, we wouldn’t recommend it on The Points Guy either.
