American Express kicked off its Small Business Saturday promotion this week, teaming up with different companies. Amex cardholders, for instance, can receive a free UberPool ride for up to $20 in New York City on November 26. Just enter promo code SMALLBIZSAT into your newly redesigned Uber app to earn the credit, which is then valid in all five boroughs. If you’re new to Uber, sign up through this link to score a free ride (up to $20) courtesy of TPG.
And remember, from now through December 31, Amex cardholders can take advantage of a special offer that applies to more than 50 Amex personal and business cards, allowing them to earn 2x points when they enroll here and shop at participating small businesses using that eligible credit card.
The American Express Platinum card has some of the best perks out there: cardholders enjoy the best domestic lounge access (Delta SkyClubs, Centurion Lounges, and Priority Pass), a $200 annual airline fee credit as well as up to $200 in Uber credits, and mid-tier elite status at SPG, Marriott, and Hilton. Combined with the 60,000 point welcome offer -- worth $1,140 based on TPG's valuations -- this card is a no-brainer for frequent travelers. Here are 5 reasons you should consider this card, as well as how you can figure out if the $550 annual fee makes sense for you.
