Starwood is running a triple/double point promotion from September 6, 2011- December 18, 2011 and registration is required.

For the first night of Star Mega Do 3 (which has been awesome so far) I stayed at the Sheraton Munich Airport hotel, which was a pretty charming property – at least for an airport hotel.

My room was very reminiscent of sleeping in a German farmhouse – complete with wooden chest/armoire and slanted ceilings. My only gripe was the lack of wi-fi in my room, but blah, blah, blah I’m at least happy I get double points for this stay!

Not your typical Sheraton bedroom

Lobby ... not sure if I would have angled the plane in a downward direction ...

How are you getting double starpoints there?

Did you try to use the plug near the desk? Your room looks exactly like mine. The outlet is only hot if the hall lights and sconce lights are on. Otherwise the outlet at the desk is not hot. I moved the lamp out of the way. It was a very odd room. :) It took me a little while to realize why my computer’s battery charge was going in the wrong direction :)

I did sleep good last night though. I only had 1 hour since I left OGG.

Booked stay at St Regis, Lanesborough Hotel in London only to find out it doesn’t participate in any SPG activities. Fail.

It’s one of my absolute favorite airport hotels. Did you have the horses grazing outside your window? How many Sheratons can offer that?

The Sheraton Munich Airport is not taking part in the double/triple points promotion unfortunately. Always double check to avoid disappointment… thought you were a point professional? ;-)

ooops; I would not have expressed my disappointment the way you came out

Touche! I guess it was the jetlag, for some reason I thought it was participating. I’ll publish a full list of non-participating hotels just so people don’t get confused
