1,000 Free AA Miles for Shopping Sign Up

American has been on a roll with giving out free miles lately and I’m not complaining! The newest easy, free hit is to sign-up for their shopping program and then watch a short video on the program. Unfortunately, I’m already an AA Shopping member so I’m ineligible for this one, but hope all of you can take advantage of it. Remember, you have to sign up to receive emails in order to get the first 500 miles and then watch the short video.

    I believe in strong security, but do we really need three password security questions for a shopping mall application that allows you to earn points for a click through? Is someone going to hack my password and earn me miles by buying something for themselves?
    Think about how dumb these questions are for a two year old. Yes, my son has AA miles.

    @NSFW- LOL I agree. I was also a little surprised by that.. a little over-the-top in my opinion. Alas, free miles are free miles :-)

    Even more irritating, every company uses the same set of challenge questions (favorite pet, grandmother, etc.). The whole point of these questions is that they’re unlikely to be known by someone who has compromised your password or to another system, but as all of these have become quite standard at this point, the whole concept of enhancing your security is just a hoop they’re making you jump through with little benefit.

    Well, as I don’t see myself ever using this service again I’ll probably just put garbage in the answers.

    I’m an AA shopping member and received an email this morning offering me 500 bonus miles for spending $75 on the AA shopping site between today and May 13, 2011, already took advantage of it!!
