Marriott is offering silver status for elite members of the LAN airlines frequent flyer program. Even if you aren’t elite with LAN, its still worth signing up- many people have been able to take advantage of similar promotions and since its free, it can’t hurt to try. However, if it doesn’t work out (like the bmi incident), simply shrug it off and carry on- it wouldn’t be worth getting upset over.
Marriott Silver isn’t game changing, but it does come with some decent perks like 20% point bonuses on paid stays, late checkout, discounts and enhanced customer service.
To take advantage of this offer:
Simply sign up for a free LAN frequent flyer account here.
Then sign up for a new Marriott Rewards account using this link.
