500 Free Delta SkyMiles With Accor Hotel Sign-up

Through August 31, 2012 Accor Hotels, the loyalty program of Europe’s largest hotel chain with brands like Sofitel and Ibis, is offering 500 free SkyMiles when you sign up for a free LeClub account here and choose to bank Delta SkyMiles as your preferred currency.
Simply go here ->  Click “Join Now” at the bottom -> Join on the next page -> Enter e-mail -> Enter registration information and at the bottom make sure the button is selected for “Option 2: I would like to convert my Le Club Accorhotels points into airline miles automatically”. Enter your Delta information in and finish registration and you should be good to go- no stay required to get the 500 miles.

The T&C also state if you are a current member that it should work as well, so I’d recommend changing your profile earning preferences to SkyMiles to get the 500 miles.

2.  Between June 1 and August 31, 2012 new and current Le Club Accorhotels members can earn 500 Bonus SkyMiles by choosing SkyMiles as their preferred loyalty program in their Le Cub Accorhotels profile.
3. This offer entitles Le Club Accorhotels Loyalty, la carte ibis, Favorite Guest and Accor Favorite Guest Business loyalty members, regardless of their status, to benefit from this offer.
4. The bonus will be credited in Le Club Accorhotels points and converted into SkyMiles according to applicable conversion rule.
5. This offer may not be combined with other current offers or advantages and does not apply to groups.

    Thanks, though the link they provide for current customers on that landing page, still doesn’t work for me. I just went to my profile, found the closest thing setting I could, for auto-transferring Leclub points to airline miles after a certain threshold, and added my skymiles number there. Hopefully that’s the one. Anyone experience the same?

    I found the option, filled it out, and filed it. Only thing is I’m not sure if my Accor membership status will qualify me.

    It says they transfer in 4000 mile increments. Any idea if we need to get to 4000 even with this offer? I’m thinking it will be a while before I hit 4000 with Sofitel.

    Doesn’t work for me either. Just gives me a red box saying “Invalid identification” when I give it my email and confirm it.

    Thanks! I joined with no problems. Any idea how long it takes for the points to show up in a Delta account?

    It’s a 2 step process. When you click “Join Now” it will bring you to another landing page where you can either sign up or enter your Leclub Accor number and email address. Once you do that you’re registered for the promotion (step 1). Step 2 requires you to log into your account and select Skymiles as your “automatic conversion” partner. I don’t believe you will get the 500 miles unless you complete both of these steps.

    Worked great for me. Difficult to get bonuses with Accor. They do not have a linked credit card.

    Hm, I’d like to know as well. I’m pretty sure I won’t accumulate 4000 points anytime soon.

    I had the same problem as The Montane Vole– it seems to be an issue with Google Chrome. I switched to Firefox and it worked fine.

    The telephone number field doesn’ allow me to enter more than four numbers, and then I can’t complete the registration. This has happened when trying to create accounts for two family members.

    TPG or anyone figure out the issue with transferring a minimum of 4k points at a time?

    That’s for transferring Aclub points once you have them. This bonus is 500 Skymiles credited directly to your Skymiles account- no need to transfer yourself

    Has anyone found out if you need the 4K before it transfers? I am not sure I will ever reach it and so why sign up…..

    I’ve opened an account at Accorhotels and stayed at Ibis for 3 nights in the first days of July. Two-three days after the stay, the accumulated Accor points were automatically transferred to Delta Skymiles. However, the 500 point bonus is not there. Hopefully, it will show up by the end of the promotion period, but their marketing specialists should know that as a customer I’d be pleased to get the bonus right away, once I’m done with my part of the deal.

    P.S. I’ve also read about 4,000 increments, however I’ve got 170 Delta Skymiles right away out of 340 euro I paid for Ibis. If 4,000 increments are enforced, for an occasional traveler like me the Accor account is not worth dealing with as their points expire after one year of inactivity and there are pretty good chances I end up with nothing.
