Microsoft's New Flight Simulator Is Landing Soon — and It Looks Amazing
If you've ever wanted to fly a plane but haven't had the chance to hop in the cockpit, the best way to do so is via a flight simulator. And on Sunday, Microsoft announced a new iteration of its Flight Simulator, which is coming soon for Xbox and PC.
The official description of the program is that you can fly "Light planes to wide-body jets, fly highly detailed and stunning aircraft in an incredibly realistic world". There's also the ability to create your own route and fly anywhere in the world, night or day in realistic yet challenging weather conditions.
The official trailer was released at Microsoft's E3 keynote event over the weekend with impressive 4K image quality featuring satellite data and Azure AI. Highlighted in the video are the spectacular and recognisable scenic destinations you'll be able to fly over.

Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released next year. The Flight Sim series has existed in various versions since 1982, which makes it even older than Windows. The last version was introduced in 2014, called the Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition.
