JetBlue is offering discount codes on select routes in honor of Star Wars day, May 4 — a sale it’s calling “May The Fourth Off Be With You.”
Throughout the day on Friday, JetBlue will be revealing deals on select flights. With the promo codes, you’ll be able to save 25% — or a fourth off — the base airfare on select flights. The 25% off is valid for both one-way and round-trip flights, however, it does exclude departures on Friday and Sundays. All promo codes are valid only for new bookings made at jetblue.com/promo.
JetBlue did not comment on how often these deals will be popping up, though it says to check its social channels for details on when they become available. According to the terms and conditions, the promo codes are subject to limited availability and are good only while supplies last. If promo codes don’t sell out, 25% savings will only be around until May 5, 2018, at 11:59pm ET.
At time of publication, one 25% off promo code is available. “Episode I” is for flights to or from Fort Lauderdale (FLL).
Use code MILKYWAY upon checkout in order to score 25% off the base airfare. Travel must be completed between May 5-23, or May 29 to June 21.
As an example of the savings to be had with this sale is on a one-way flight from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Charleston (CHS). Regularly, the flight costs $84. However, when going to jetblue.com/promo and entering the code MILKYWAY, I was able to lock-in a one-way fare on the same date for $66. In all, the sale saved $16 off the base airfare — or 25%.
Keep an eye on the JetBlue May the Fourth page in order to see the “Episode” deals as they come in.
Don’t forget to use a credit card that earns additional points on airfare purchases, such as the American Express Platinum Card (5x on flights booked directly with airlines or American Express Travel), Chase Sapphire Reserve, American Express® Gold Card or Citi Prestige (3x on airfare) or the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card (2x on all travel purchases). Check out this post for more on maximizing airfare purchases.
