Want to see the world for free? Well, Travel app Noken is hiring a CEO -- and it's not what you think.
CEO, by Noken's definition, is a Cultural Exploration Officer -- or "the person in charge of gaining a holistic introduction into the unique cultures of Japan, Iceland and Portugal." Basically, Noken is offering to send someone the chance to explore all three countries free of charge -- all you have to do is work for them.
Responsibilities include management of your own day-to-day exploration and travel and generating shareable content with the Noken community. The CEO will be granted a $100 daily stipend for food and drinks with most other costs (namely airfare and accommodation) covered by the Noken team. The CEO is also required to take one trip a year to one of the three locations and write three posts on Noken’s blog about their "experiences meeting somewhere new."
So, how does one apply to be the new CEO? Noken looking for travel-savvy applicants that have stellar photography skills, a public Instagram profile and a valid passport. To enter, candidates are asked to provide "the perfect introduction" to their hometowns by taking and sharing 5 photos of local landmarks and gems on their Instagram. The post must include the hashtag #NokenCEO in addition to a caption that describes why you would make the best possible CEO. Also -- Noken is giving "bonus points" to applicants who share their own original video content on their Instagram stories, just remember to tag @Noken and use the hashtag#NokenCEO.
