FoundersCard is one of the best — and most lucrative — membership-based card services out there. With it, you can get access to exclusive status challenges, discounts on travel, free memberships to services and much more. To say that you can get great value from the card is an understatement.

If you’re not yet a FoundersCard member, you can take advantage of an exclusive membership just for TPG readers — for a limited time only. If you sign up as a new member, you’ll get a preferred annual membership fee of $395 as well as a waived initiation fee when you apply using this link or the promo code FCTPG18. The standard annual membership fee is $595 with an initiation fee of $95 — so you’re saving $295 right away. This is a limited-time offer, so you’ll want to sign up before July 31, 2018, in order to lock in the rate.

But, which of the FoundersCard perks can help you the most during the busy summer travel season? The company has released a list of the top-five most used benefits by its members during the summer travel season. Here they are:

1. Complimentary Hilton Honors Gold Status

With the complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status you’ll get just for being a FoundersCard member, you’ll be able to access the benefits through March 2020. Based on TPG’s 2018 analysis, Gold status with Hilton is worth a total of $860. The benefits of Gold include a 25% point bonus, fifth night free on award stays, two complimentary bottles of water per stay, room upgrades, breakfast and bonus points or a welcome amenity.

2. Alaska Airlines Discounts

FoundersCard recently added this benefit for its members. With it, you can take advantage of 5% off fares within the continental US, Hawaii and Canada. Now that Alaska Airlines and Virgin America are one airline, it also applies to flights that were previously operated by the now-defunct Virgin. The 5% in savings applies to both coach and first-class fares.

3. Six Months of CLEAR Membership

CLEAR is one of the best new tools to make sure you get through security quicker at the airport. With it, you can essentially bypass the line — either the “regular” or PreCheck lane — and go through the checkpoint. The tool uses biometric technology in order to verify your identity and confirm your boarding pass. A CLEAR membership typically costs $179 annually, however, FoundersCard members get six months of a CLEAR membership for free.

4. TripIt Pro for Free

Travel app TripIt has a Pro version, which allows you not only to organize your travel plans in one place, but, it also allows you to set alerts so you can track your travels and be notified of any changes. No matter where you are, you can stay up-to-date on your travel plans with the app. FoundersCard members get a complimentary TripIt Pro membership for a year. Then, once that has been used, you’ll get a 20% discounted annual rate of $39 for three years.

5. Additions to the Hotel Program

Much like hotel programs that credit card companies offer, such as Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, FoundersCard offers its own portfolio of luxury properties. For properties that are part of the program, you’ll get negotiated special rate — most for 10%-25% off. With plenty of properties part of the program, FoundersCard is adding more — most recently, the Setai Tel Aviv, Park Hyatt Melbourne and The LINE (in Austin and Washington, DC).
