Emirates is bringing a whole new meaning to mobile check-in. No, it's not on your phone, but it is on your doorstep.

Starting April 25, the Dubai-based carrier will send a representative to meet you anywhere in Dubai to help you check in for a flight.

As part of the airline's new home check-in service option, an Emirates agent will come at your preferred time (between seven and 48 hours before departure) at your preferred location—whether it's your home, hotel or office in Dubai— to weigh and tag your bags, check you in and issue your boarding passes. The Emirates representative will then transport your luggage to the airport. Emirates home check-in will be operated with a new fleet of vans where passengers' bags will be sealed and stored.

The service is only available to Emirates passengers traveling from Dubai (DXB), and costs about AED 350 (about $95) per trip for up to seven pieces of luggage. An additional fee will be added for any extra pieces of luggage. Requests for the home check-in service must be made at least 12 hours before flight departure time.

How we chose these cards

Our points-obsessed staff uses a plethora of credit cards on a daily basis. If anyone on our team wouldn’t recommend it to a friend or a family member, we wouldn’t recommend it on The Points Guy either. Our opinions are our own, and have not been reviewed, approved, or endorsed by our advertising partners.
