Welcome to week 3 of Daily Getaways — the annual five-week-long travel discount extravaganza hosted by the US Travel Association. Offers this week include discounted Alamo car rentals, Loews hotel stays, Caesars properties, Best Western points and Universal Orlando packages.

Each deal will go live at 1:00pm ET, so make sure that you set your alarm a few minutes earlier than that if you’re really interested in snagging a deal. Based on the Daily Getaways purchases I made in week one, these purchases code as travel. So, make sure to use a credit card that has a category bonus for general travel such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve (3x Ultimate Rewards points) or the Chase Sapphire Preferred (2x points).

Let’s dive into the details to see which offers you might be interested in this week:

In This Post

April 23: $50 Alamo gift card for $25

  • Cost: $25
  • Description: $50 certificate off the daily base rate on a car rental, sent via e-mail.
  • Restrictions: Max 3 vouchers per purchase. Offer valid for rentals at participating locations in the United States. The voucher can only be used to cover the base rate (time and mileage); vouchers can’t be used to pay for taxes, fees and surcharges. 24-hour advanced reservation required. Up to three certificates can be applied to a single rental. If using more than one certificate, you must call 1-866-626-9102 to make your reservation.
  • Number available: 2,000

There are a lot of restrictions to keep in mind. But, between a straight-forward redemption rate and no expiration date, these deals are very popular. Last year’s version of this deal sold out completely in less than 30 minutes — and may have been fully claimed even earlier.
