Chase Bank is known for its strong Ultimate Rewards points ecosystem that includes airline and hotel transfer partners and the ability to use your points for travel at a higher rate than normal with cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

After introducing a special page to redeem points for Apple products last week, Chase has added a new "deals" tab to its Ultimate Rewards page.

Right now, the deal page appears to be a hub for different shopping portal deals and gift card sales that were already available on Chase's website. For instance, you can now earn 6x Ultimate Rewards points through the Ultimate Rewards shopping portal instead of the normal 3x points. And if you're into using points for gift cards (not a good idea if you're into maximizing the value of your points), you can get 10% - 15% off some gift cards when redeeming points.

Each Ultimate Reward point would be worth about 1.1 cents when redeeming for a gift card that's 10% off – note that you can get a minimum of 1.25 cents per point when redeeming Chase points for travel through the Ultimate Rewards travel portal with the Chase Sapphire Preferred and 1.5 cents per point with the Chase Sapphire Reserve. It's possible to extract even more value out of your points when transferring to partners.

While this isn't the most exciting news since all of these deals already existed in Ultimate Rewards, it's nice to see Chase group everything together in one, easy-to-use spot. Hopefully other deals will eventually appear there, like how Amex has constant bonuses when transferring Membership Rewards points to partners.
