Every weekend, we round up the top miles, points and travel deals that you might have missed on TPG this week. Here’s what you need to know:
Currently, you can book Southwest flights from many mainland U.S. cities to Hawaii for under $300 round-trip. These flights usually cost well over $800, presenting huge savings on a mid-summer trip to paradise. Plus, you can book the cheapest routes for less than 20,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points.
These cheap flights are an excellent way to plan a summer vacation and, if you’d like, burn some Rapid Rewards points in the process. These deals are even more valuable if you have a Southwest Companion Pass, which you can use to bring a set friend or family member with you on all Southwest flights. This effectively doubles the value of your Rapid Rewards points and halves the price of Southwest flights when flying with your companion.
Still looking for Memorial Day plans? American Airlines has a sale with fares as low as $107 round-trip.
These flights are perfect for a last-minute getaway to take advantage of your three-day weekend. Even better, AA has eliminated change fees on all domestic flights (excluding basic economy). Most of these fares are in Main Cabin, so you’ll be able to change your ticket if something comes up.
Sample itineraries include Los Angeles (LAX) to Las Vegas (LAS) for $107 round-trip in Main Cabin, Philadelphia (PHL) to Orlando (MCO) for $128 round-trip in Main Cabin, Chicago (ORD) to Miami (MIA) for $146 round-trip in Main Cabin and Miami (MIA) to Boston (BOS) for $157 round-trip in Main Cabin.
Delta is offering an incredible SkyMiles award flash sale from dozens of continental U.S. airports to several Alaskan cities. Although Delta has marketed that the sale is from 5,000 SkyMiles roundtrip, most awards are pricing at 10,000 miles. (Seattle and Portland are still available from 5,000 miles.)
This deal is available from a wide array of airports from coast to coast like New York and Atlanta, and even non-hub cities such as Dallas, San Francisco and many, many more. There’s availability through the peak summer travel season, but you’ll want to act quickly because there’s no telling how long this availability will be around.
TPG values SkyMiles at 1.1 cents apiece, so a 10,000-mile award is worth $110, an incredible deal for roundtrip economy travel. If the glacier-capped mountains and wild nature of Alaska have been on your bucket list, now is a fantastic time to get booking.
