For example, the Amex Gold Card already comes with 4x points at restaurants, 4x points at U.S. supermarkets (on up to $25,000 in yearly purchases; then 1x) and 3x points on flights booked directly with the airline and on American Express Travel. • 10% cash back — 6% plus additional 4% — at U.S. supermarkets (on the first $6,000 on U.S. supermarket purchases each calendar year; then 1%)
• 10% cash back — 6% plus additional 4% — on select streaming services
• 7% cash back — 3% plus additional 4% — on transit purchases and at gas stations
• 5% cash back — 1% plus additional 4% — on everything else
