Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Hong Kong is one of my favorite cities in the world. The wonderful blend of western culture and eastern culture makes the city approachable yet fascinating. And now you can fly to Hong Kong (HKG) nonstop for just $510 round-trip.
The cheapest departure cities are where there are at least three airlines competing: Los Angeles (LAX; Hong Kong Airlines, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific) and San Francisco (SFO; Hong Kong Airlines, Cathay Pacific, United). Flights from LAX and SFO to HKG are running as cheap as $510 round-trip.
While Los Angeles and San Francisco see many great fares to Hong Kong, the notable part about this deal is the widespread sub-$600 round-trip fares from Cathay Pacific's other US gateways to Hong Kong — including Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Newark (EWR), New York's Kennedy (JFK), Seattle (SEA) and even Cathay Pacific's new route from Washington DC (IAD). On these routes, there's availability almost daily for outbound flights from January 11 to May 15, 2019.
