Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through the Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.

The deals to Asia continue!

Delta is currently running a fall flight sale to destinations in Asia. However, the best deals we're finding through this promotion are to China and have availability in Main Cabin Economy as low as $459 round-trip and Comfort+ for as low as $637 round-trip. For about $200 more, you'll get three extra inches of legroom, early boarding, dedicated bin space and a complimentary amenity kit.

Before making your trip to China, remember that you will need to apply for a Chinese Visa. An easy way to do this is through Allied Passport.

How we chose these cards

Our points-obsessed staff uses a plethora of credit cards on a daily basis. If anyone on our team wouldn’t recommend it to a friend or a family member, we wouldn’t recommend it on The Points Guy either.
