Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11 p.m. Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through the Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.
You can now score cheap flights from numerous cities across the US to top Japanese destinations such as Tokyo and Osaka. Reported first by Scott’s Cheap Flights, flights from the US to Japan are available from just $483 round-trip. Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas and Washington DC are just a few US cities included in this deal. While all flights are booked into economy class, there are no restrictions on cabin luggage and travelers will be allowed one free checked bag.
Cheap flights are available throughout the fall and winter months. For the best availability, search for flights in late October and early November. Select dates are not available. These dates include the Christmas and New Year holidays.
