Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through the Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.
One of TPG's favorite low-cost carriers is offering incredibly cheap flights from the Northeast to Europe this fall. You can fly nonstop on Norwegian from New York Stewart (SWF), Providence (PVD) and New York Kennedy (JFK) to Amsterdam (AMS), Bergen (BGO), Edinburgh (EDI), Shannon (SNN), Dublin (DUB) and Cork (ORK) for as little $194 round-trip. These low prices are available from September through November.
Most routes are operated by either Norwegian's 737-800 or 737 MAX in an all economy 3-3 layout. Note that the airline is a low-cost carrier, so you'll need to pay extra for a checked bag and seat assignment, although the base fare does include a large carry-on bag.
There are no tricks to find these fares. Use Google Flights to search for your preferred departure and destination and then book directly with the airline.
