Streaming services are a credit card bonus category that quickly became much more competitive throughout the pandemic. Streaming services aren’t huge monthly expenses in the way that groceries or eating out may be, but they can still add up. Here are the credit cards that offer bonus points or cash back for streaming services in 2023 from our partners.

How can you save on streaming services with credit cards?

Streaming services have become a consistent monthly expense for many people. Luckily, credit card companies have taken notice, and there are many cards available to help you save money on streaming services.

There are two primary ways you can save: Use a card that offers a statement credit for streaming services like the The Platinum Card® from American Express, or use a card that earns a higher cash-back rate on streaming subscriptions like the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express.

What qualifies as streaming services?

What qualifies as streaming services will vary widely depending on the card. In-depth reviews of the credit cards featured on this page are listed above and displays the card’s eligible streaming services.

Should I put streaming services on my credit card?

It is a great idea to put your streaming services on your credit card if it offers a statement credit or a high cash-back rate on eligible streaming services. If you have a flat-rate cash-back card, it could still be a good idea to charge your streaming services to earn cash back. Just remember to pay your bill on time every month to maintain your credit health.

Are streaming credit cards worth it?

Streaming services probably aren’t nearly as large of a monthly spending category for your family as groceries or even gas, but it’s still nice to maximize your earnings on your spending. Plus, some of the cards on this list actually reward you for spending in other categories (like groceries and gas) as well.
