Capital One Venture X Business review: Huge earning potential for a reasonable annual fee
Editor's Note
Capital One Venture X Business overview
The Capital One Venture X Business is the business version of the fan-favorite Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card. Like its personal counterpart, the Venture X Business offers luxury perks for a reasonable annual fee and an easy-to-understand earning structure. This is a great option for small-business owners who value simplicity. Card rating*: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½
* Card rating is based on the opinion of TPG's editors and is not influenced by the card issuer.
Since its debut in 2021, the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card has been a major player in the premium card space. It offers luxury benefits like airport lounge access and a valuable travel credit for a reasonable annual fee.
Since 2023, the business version of the card — the Venture X Business — has been available. It has the same $395 annual fee and many of the same benefits we've come to love in the Venture X. Key perks include generous airport lounge access, an annual travel credit and the option to add employee cards for no additional cost.
The major difference between the personal and business offerings is the welcome offer — with the business version offering a much more lucrative bonus.
TPG recommends an excellent credit score of 740 or above for this card.
Here's what you need to know if you're considering applying for the Capital One Venture X Business.

Capital One Venture X Business welcome offer
The Capital One Venture X Business is offering a welcome bonus to those who can meet its high spending requirement. New applicants can earn 150,000 bonus miles after spending $30,000 in the first three months of account opening

It's worth $2,775, according to our April 2025 valuations.
This welcome bonus is best suited to businesses that can meet the $30,000 minimum spending requirement organically.

Capital One Venture X Business benefits
The Venture X Business has many of the same perks that have made its personal counterpart so popular. As a cardholder, you'll get:
- A $300 credit annually for travel booked through Capital One Business Travel
- 10,000 bonus miles each year at your cardmember anniversary, worth $185 based on TPG's April 2025 valuations
These two benefits alone more than offset the card's $395 annual fee.

You'll also receive the following perks:
- Unlimited access to Capital One lounges — currently open in Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Denver International Airport (DEN), Dulles International Airport (IAD) near Washington, D.C., and Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas — and Capital One Landings — currently open in D.C.'s Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) — as well as 1,300-plus Priority Pass lounges worldwide for you and up to two guests
- Access to Capital One's Premier Collection and Lifestyle Collection hotels
- An up to $120 statement credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck
- Employee cards for no additional cost
- No foreign transaction fees

Earning miles with the Capital One Venture X Business
With the Venture X Business, you'll earn:
- 10 miles per dollar spent on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Business Travel
- 5 miles per dollar spent on flights and vacation rentals purchased through Capital One Business Travel
- 2 miles per dollar spent on all other purchases

This simple earning structure means you won't have to worry about whether your purchase falls in a bonus-earning category.
However, suppose you spend much of your business budget on categories like shipping and advertising. In that case, you might find that you'll get a better return on your spending with a different business credit card.

Redeeming miles with the Capital One Venture X Business
Your most valuable redemption option is to transfer your miles to any of Capital One's 15-plus airline and hotel partners.

However, you can also redeem your miles to book travel through Capital One Business Travel, for a statement credit to cover travel purchases or to purchase gift cards at a flat rate of 1 cent per mile.
