Amex Business Platinum Adding 30% Pay with Points Rebate

Earlier this year, American Express announced that their Business Platinum card would be losing its 20% Pay with Points rebate—a perk that earned holders of this card 1.25 cents per point (rather than simply 1 cent per point) when redeeming points directly through Amex travel for airfare on any airline.
However, they've since back-pedaled on this decision, and will now allow holders of this card to earn a 30% Pay with Points rebate for one airline, similar to the current $200 airline fee credit. This new rebate will go into effect on July 1, 2015.
First, I'm glad that American Express has taken another look at the Pay with Points rebate for the Business Platinum, and instead of removing it, will actually be increasing it to a 30% rebate.
The major downside of this new rebate is that it will be applicable on only one airline of the cardholder's choice; the present 20% rebate (or 25% bonus, depending on how you look at it) can be applied to any airline. However, if you have strong loyalty ties to one airline, then this shouldn't be a problem.
Just remember that the airline you choose for this new 30% rebate will have to be the same airline for which you receive your $200 airline fee credit—so choose that airline wisely.
Note that this benefit will only be available to Business Platinum cardholders. Those with the personal The Platinum Card from American Express are not eligible for this 30% rebate— at least not yet.
