  : Some credit cards offer car, baggage, travel interruption and other kinds of insurance. These vary from card to card. • What’s the best card for earning points?

  While there is no “best” card for earning points, there are a few that earn more points per purchase than others. • What’s a sign-up bonus?

  A sign-up bonus, also referred to as a welcome bonus, is a set number of points you’ll earn after signing up for a new credit card and meeting a minimum spending requirement within a set time period (usually 30-90 days from being approved for the card).

• Can I transfer airline miles?

  Unfortunately you can’t transfer airline miles or hotel points. But airline alliances and partners usually let you book flights on other airlines that are part of the same alliance as the airline your points are banked with (e.g. United is part of Star Alliance, so you can use United miles to book seats on Lufthansa, another Star Alliance airline).
