While the addition of transfer partners represents a great opportunity to maximize your rewards by redeeming them with carriers like Aeroplan and Etihad, those who’d rather not jump through hoops won’t lose out: The Purchase Eraser feature will remain, as will the card’s other strong benefits like a 10x earning rate at Hotels.com (when booked and paid for via a dedicated link), which earns it the top spot on the list of best cards to use when booking hotels online.
The Capital One Savor is a welcome addition to the best cash back credit card list. The new Savor card offers an unlimited 8% cash back on tickets at Vivid Seats (through May 2020), 4% cash back on dining and entertainment, as well as 2% back at grocery stores and 1% on all other purchases. 4% is the highest cash back rate for both dining and entertainment.
The Capital One Quicksilver Card is about as simplified as you can get, so for people who aren’t willing to spend the time learning award charts and maxing out transfer bonuses it can make a decent option. You’ll earn a fixed and unlimited 1.5% cash back on all purchases, which is not the best rate on the market but passable, especially for a no-annual-fee card. And while the sign-up bonus isn’t massive, the spending requirement is low.
The Capital One Spark Miles for Business has long been a solid business card pick, but was never truly competitive due to the lack of transfer partners. However, that changed recently, as you can now transfer miles to more than a dozen airline partners. The card is best for everyday purchases so anyone looking to fill in the gaps on non-bonus spending will want to consider it.
