Airbnb 'Experiences' Expand to Philadelphia, Starting Today
On the heels of winning its first Super Bowl, Philadelphia has seen a spike in visitors following the big win. The timing is ideal as Airbnb is launching experiences in Philadelphia starting today, Monday, February 12. The news comes after the city experienced a surge in tourists after the Eagles' big win, and Airbnb reports that travelers visiting the city increased by 80% between February 7 and 8 compared to the week prior. 60% of these bookings occurred after the Eagles won the Super Bowl last weekend.
With the launch of experiences, visitors to Philadelphia can live like locals by exploring and celebrating everything the city has to offer. From the history of cheesesteak to tastings at local breweries, there are 40 local-led unique experiences live on Airbnb for visitors and locals looking for something new.
Philadelphia joins other cities around the world where Airbnb offers their experiences program: New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris and Tokyo.
