Don't Forget to Answer Today's Trivia Question for 1,000 Free Marriott Points
With just a few weeks left in the NFL regular season, there are only a couple more chances to play Marriott's "Extra Points Sundays" trivia game to earn 1,000 free Marriott points. Today's NFL trivia question is now posted on Twitter and you can get your free points just for answering it correctly by 8pm Eastern on Sunday, December 10.
Before 2015, extra points in the NFL were chip shots since the ball was snapped from the 2-yard line. But that year the NFL moved the ball back 13 additional yards for extra point attempts, and it's been that way ever since. So you can add those two numbers together to get the correct response to today's question, or just look at the tweets of other Marriott Rewards members who have answered it correctly.
Marriott points are worth 0.9 cents each based on TPG's latest monthly valuations, so 1,000 Marriott points will net you around $9 in value. That might not seem like a ton, but it takes roughly 10 seconds to answer the question, so why not pick up some free points? Just keep in mind that Marriott points earned via social activity don't count toward resetting the expiration clock.
It's important to remember that if you haven't already linked your Twitter account to your Marriott account, you have to do it before tweeting out your answer — otherwise Marriott doesn't know where to credit your points. If you connect your accounts using this page, you'll pick up 250 more points in addition to the 1,000 points from the promotion, and you can connect your Facebook and Instagram accounts as well to earn another 250 points for each social media platform. Once your accounts are linked, if you follow Marriott on Twitter and Instagram, you'll pick up yet another 125 points for each follow.
So make sure you answer the trivia question by tweeting @MarriottRewards before 8pm Eastern tonight, and remember to include the hashtag #RewardsPoints in your tweet.
