Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using the American Express Platinum Card, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.

Update 1:30pm: We’re now seeing even cheaper fares from Los Angeles (LAX) to Lima, Peru (LIM) on Aeromexico. You can fly round-trip in business class between the two cities for just $658. Fares seem to be available from January 2018 through the rest of the schedule.

Los Angeles (LAX) to Lima (LIM) in business class in April for $658 round-trip via Expedia:

Right now, AeroMexico is offering dirt cheap business-class fares from New York (JFK) to Santiago (SCL) with fares starting at just $1,090 round-trip. The first leg from New York to Mexico City is on AeroMexico’s 737 while other portions of the journey will be on board the carrier’s 787 Dreamliner that feature lie-flat seats, with the -9 variants sporting a new reverse herringbone configuration.

Aeromexico is part of SkyTeam so this would make for a great mileage run for Delta flyers. This fare would net you about 24,700 MQMs and 5,000 MQDs. Make sure you hop on this deal fast, as these fares usually go for double or triple the price. You can search through Google Flights for your desired departure date and then book through Expedia or the airline itself. It’s possible that this is an error fare, so make sure you don’t book a hotel or any extra’s before your flight is ticketed.
