Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.

Ahhh, Paris. As one of the most romantic cities in the world, it's a popular destination for travelers of all types. Right now, you can find some great fares to the City of Light on multiple full service carriers, from US departure cities in the east, south and west starting as low as $430 round-trip.

You'll find the majority of these travel dates between February and May, but depending on where you originate from, there may be some options available in the fall months as well. You don't need any tricks to get these deals — just search for the dates you want with Google Flights, then book on Orbitz, Expedia or directly with the airline itself.

While most of these itineraries book as regular economy fares, a few of them are in Basic Economy, so make sure you know exactly what you're buying. Keep in mind that Delta will begin charging baggage fees on Basic Economy fares to Europe for travel starting on or after April 10, 2018.

Airlines: American, Delta, United, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic

How we chose these cards

Our points-obsessed staff uses a plethora of credit cards on a daily basis. If anyone on our team wouldn’t recommend it to a friend or a family member, we wouldn’t recommend it on The Points Guy either. Our opinions are our own, and have not been reviewed, approved, or endorsed by our advertising partners.
