Watch a 12-Year-Old Boy Get the Surprise of a Lifetime Thanks to British Airways
Finlay Sangster, a spirited 12-year-old living with cerebral palsy in Aberdeen, Scotland, is obsessed with football (or "soccer" as Americans call it). His Christmas wish is to be able to play football on an Xbox with his friends, but his disability makes it impossible for him to operate a standard game controller.
Enter British Airways and the airline's "BA Magic" program, which helps arrange surprises for people "who have faced adversity and done amazing things." As you'll see in the heartwarming video, the carrier flies Finlay and his family down to London to meet with SpecialEffect, a charity whose mission is to help the disabled get more out of life through technology.
But the airline doesn't stop there. Watch the always smiling Finlay as each part of the surprise trip is revealed to him, including a ride in a Lamborghini, a shopping spree at Hamleys Toy Shop and even a personal meeting with one his favorite football players.
If you need help getting into the holiday spirit, watch the entire adventure unfold in the video below.
After all, we spend a lot of the year complaining about airlines so it's only fair to give them credit when they do something outstanding. Well done, British Airways, and happy holidays.
