Sometimes, the best part of a vacation is the hotel. Okay, a lot of times. And when we can’t make it on vacation, the next best thing to do is look on Instagram to drool over our dream hotels. We’ve compiled 10 of our favorite hotels from around the world with the best Instagram accounts; from the Maasai Mara in Kenya to a B&B in Nashville, these are some of the best hotels to not only visit, but to spend hours scrolling through their accounts and picking out which accommodation is just right for you. Check in and start snapping — these hotels are made for the ‘gram.
Looking to add a little color to your next vacation? The Saguaro Hotels have got you covered. With two locations — one in Scottsdale, AZ and the other in Palm Springs, CA — the Saguaro Hotels are aesthetically-pleasing for the ‘grammers trying to capture the perfect shot. Part of the Sydell Group, most of the rooms in the Saguaro properties are situated around the pools in the center of the hotels. And by the look of it, the pool is where you want to be if you want a dose of style, sun and sick pics. The hotels are easy to spot in an otherwise arid locale and boldly stand out since they’re both located in the desert.
The Ace has eight locations around the country and one location in London and they’re all about serving up soulful and joyous experiences. These hipster havens are not trying to reinvent the hotel, as their Instagram says, rather “keep them fresh, energized, human.” The Ace pushes for individuals to freely express themselves in their hotels. Each location offers a bit of local flare and each one is friendlier than the next. The Ace caters to the creative class and after walking through the lobby of any of the nine locales, you’ll want to whip out your laptop and start writing an anthology. And, of course, take an Instagram.
Want to get immersed in old Hollywood? Stepping into Hotel Bel-Air is like stepping into the glory days of Tinseltown when anyone from Marilyn Monroe to Grace Kelly could be seen roaming the halls or lounging by the pool. This five-star hotel is as beautiful inside as it is out: It sits on 12 acres of exquisitely landscaped garden with over 40 suites, and often welcomes the Hollywood elite of today who come here to relax. While the hotel may discourage you from snapping selfies with celebs you may see, feel free to channel your inner Marilyn Monroe with a photo shoot around the pristine hotel.
The Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria is the epitome of luxury. In fact, you might not want to leave the property and explore the surrounding city. Each room at the Cavalieri comes with a private balcony and sitting area, marble bathrooms and designer toiletries. The property includes two outdoor pools, one indoor pool, a gym, four bars and two restaurants, one of which is a three-Michelin starred restaurant. Truly, an Insta paradise. Next time you’re in Rome, be sure to stop by the hotel for a quick snap or week(end) getaway.
Ernest Hemingway once said, “When I dream of afterlife in Heaven, the action always takes place in the Paris Ritz.” Hemingway used to spend hours a day in this bar writing and chatting with peers like Gary Cooper, so the hotel named the bar in his honor. The Ritz Paris, built in 1898, leads the pack in luxury and elegance. It recently re-opened after a four-year renovation and while it still maintains much of its original, breathtaking features, it has been updated tremendously. The hotel was originally a private palace built in the early 18th century and when César Ritz bought the hotel at the end of the 19th century, he wanted to build the most luxurious hotel in the world. Well, Mr. Ritz, we think you succeeded.
As their tagline on Instagram says, “Arrive as strangers, leave as friends.” This cozy B&B has locations in Nashville and Brooklyn and offers a calming retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Today, the Cowboy is a haven for travelers and artists who come from all over the world. The Brooklyn location is housed in a townhouse typical of Brooklyn architecture and the Nashville Cowboy is in a historical Victorian mansion with eight suites. The Cowboy guarantees that after staying in their laid-back hotels, you’ll leave with lifetime experiences and new globetrotting friends.
As if you needed another reason to add Marrakech on your list of places to visit, the El Fenn Hotel just bumped the city up on your list to “must visit ASAP.” This hotel, which describes itself as “a bit luxe and a lot laid back,” has 28 individually styled rooms ranging in size from small rooms to private houses; they’re all colorfully decorated and each includes its own unique local flair and charm. The hotel has won numerous awards, including Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List for 2017. Since it’s opening in 2004, the hotel has more than tripled in size and includes an upscale restaurant, a beautiful roof terrace with a plunge pool and two courtyard pools.
When you stay at Autor Rooms in Warsaw, you’ll feel like you never left your house but with the added luxury of staying in a boutique hotel. Each room is furnished with all the amenities you find in your house down to the kitchen, but with the quality and services you find at a luxury hotel. The “authors” at the hotel have the goal of offering every guest all that Warsaw has to offer. Their team is comprised of people from different backgrounds who work in different fields, all with the goal of showing off Warsaw and the hospitality they offer.
Cottar’s redefined the safari. For nearly 100 years, the Cottar family has brought luxury safaris to their private conservancy that borders the Maasai Mara, Kenya. They offer a 1920s inspired safari camp that has never made camping (glamping, really) look better. The camps, however, don’t sacrifice luxury, with each outfitted with a living room and fireplace in addition to other grand amenities. They also have a villa that’s located on the intersection of the Maasai and the Serengeti, unlike anything you can imagine: At over 10,000 square feet, the villa has a large living room, dining room, viewing deck, private staff and many more features that will make you never want to leave Kenya.
The Wythe Hotel opened in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood in 2012 and has been a staple of the borough ever since. The building was originally a factory built over a century ago and now houses 70 rooms in the “original boutique hotel” in Brooklyn. Most of the rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and have unrivaled views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The hotel prides itself in immersing in Brooklyn culture and revels in Brooklyn’s role throughout history of welcoming visitors from all over the world. The Wythe has an acclaimed restaurant and rooftop bar with amazing views of the NYC skyline.
