Another Chance for an Easy 1,000 Free Marriott Rewards Points
In the middle of September, Marriott launched a Twitter promotion called "Extra Point Sundays" in which Marriott Rewards members could earn 1,000 free points for answering a trivia question about the National Football League. That promotion temporarily disappeared last week, as Marriott said it was working out some issues with it.
But the good news is that "Extra Points Sundays" is back! Here's today's trivia question, which you have to answer correctly via Twitter by 8pm Eastern tonight, October 8:
Remember that before you tweet your answer, you must connect your Twitter account to your Marriott Rewards account. Use this page to connect accounts — you'll actually earn an additional 250 points for doing so. You'll also find options for connecting your Facebook and Instagram accounts to earn another 250 points for each social media platform. And if you want to earn even more extra points, following Marriott on Twitter and Instagram will get you 125 points per account.
Based on TPG's current monthly valuations, Marriott Rewards points are worth 0.9 cents each, so 1,000 Marriott points will get you $9 in value. It doesn't sound like a ton, but it should also take you roughly 10 seconds to send the tweet, so it's a pretty minimal amount of work. Unfortunately points earned via social activity don't count toward resetting the expiration clock at Marriott, so don't bank on this promotion to keep your stash of Marriott points alive.
Finally, if you're not sure what the answer to the actual trivia question is, you can easily find out by taking a look at others who have correctly tweeted it. Don't forget to include the hashtag #RewardsPoints in your answer, and send your tweet before 8pm Eastern tonight!
