Deal Alert: East Coast to Sweden From $292 Round-Trip
Update: Some offers mentioned below are no longer available. View the current offers here.
Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.
Both low-cost carrier Norwegian Air and full-service Finnair are offering fantastic deals to Sweden for fall/early winter travel on flights between New York (JFK) or Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Stockholm (ARN) from just $292 round-trip. If you want to fly nonstop on Norwegian, score even cheaper flights than what you'll see on Google Flights by booking with the Norwegian version of the carrier's site. If you want to fly on Finnair from JFK, you'll have to stop in Helsinki (HEL) in each direction, but it's a full-service carrier which means you'll get more amenities than you would on Norwegian, not to mention you can credit the miles earned from your flight to your American AAdvantage account.
