Earn 1,000 Bonus SkyMiles With Each New Partner Activity

Delta's offering SkyMiles members the opportunity to earn 1,000 bonus miles for each new SkyMiles partner you earn miles with. The offer covers SkyMiles partners from car rental agencies to hotel partners, SkyMiles Dining partners and SkyMiles Shopping partners, so there are plenty of options to earn the bonus miles.

You must register for the promotion on Delta's website and then spend at any of the eligible SkyMiles partners between March 24 and June 30, 2017. All SkyMiles members except those that live in the Asia-Pacific region are eligible for this promotion.

According to the promotion's site, the eligible SkyMiles partners include credit card partners (the Delta co-branded Amex cards), hotels and Airbnb (SPG, Hilton, Marriott and more), car rental (Hertz, Alamo, Enterprise and more), limo & shuttle, cruises and vacations, dining, retail and specialty. For complete lists of the partners included, visit Delta's partner page. Note that Delta's airline partners are not included in this promotion.

Also note that this must be a new partner. For this promotion, Delta is classifying a new partner as one that the member has not earned miles with between March 24, 2016 and March 23, 2017. So, if you have an Amex Delta card that you've spent on in the past year, that won't earn you the 1,000 bonus miles. But if you're a new cardholder or haven't put any spend on the card since March 24, 2016, you're eligible for the bonus promotion with that partner. Of course, this applies to other partners as well, such as SkyMiles Dining.

While 1,000 miles might not seem like much — worth $12 based on TPG's most recent valuations — the number of miles can easily add up with the more partners you use. Even if you're not sure if you'll completely maximize the promotion, it could be worth it to register just in case you use one of the SkyMiles partners during the promotional period.
