Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using the American Express Platinum Card, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through the Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.

Here’s an opportunity to visit some of the most breathtaking cities in the world — TAP Portugal is currently offering flights to Madrid (MAD), Rome (FCO), Milan (MXP), Venice (VCE) and Barcelona (BCN) from New York (JFK) or Boston (BOS) starting from around $452. We’re seeing pretty open availability beginning in January 2017 through March. TPG Editor-in-Chief Zach Honig flew TAP Portugal business class from Lisbon to Boston and had nothing but praise for the European airline — but note that these are economy fares. If you wanna book at these prices, act fast, as this deal isn’t likely to last.
