Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to travel. Additionally, keep in mind that discounted partner fares may not earn miles with US-based carriers.
Thinking about traveling to Southeast Asia? Now's a great time to book. We're seeing sub-$400 fares from San Francisco (SFO) to several destinations in Asia. Flights to Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Manila (MNL), Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), Bangkok (BKK) and Singapore (SIN) are all on sale. There may be other cities as well. These fares are on China Eastern, a mainline Chinese airline where service can be subpar at times. However, China Eastern is a Sky Team member, so you may be able to earn miles (50% with Flying Blue) with these flights. Flights are available from September through November and all require a connection in Shanghai.
