American Airlines is targeting select AAdvantage members with complimentary Gold and Platinum status through May. The lucky flyers will also have access to 500 mile bonus upgrades as well as standard perks like free checked bags and priority check-in, not to mention a fast-track to keep status through 2018.
A low annual fee doesn’t mean you should outright skip a card in favor of a premium option. Many cards have a low fee and amazing earning potential. Here’s why they deserve a spot in your lineup. Costco’s pending switch from Amex to Visa is a big deal for many cardholders, and the latest news means that the transition will take even longer. The wholesaler recently announced that the switch would be delayed from April 1 to “early summer.”

Virgin Atlantic Offers Discounts on Award Travel
Virgin Atlantic is offering discounted award redemptions on economy seats to and from the UK on select routes from 24,500 miles, plus a $500 surcharge. The airline is also running a sale on discounted premium economy award tickets at a 30% discount. The sale is available to book between February 10 and 24.

Earn Double Award Miles on United BusinessFirst Flights to Belfast
United is offering double miles on flights to Belfast in BusinessFirst when you book by February 22. Travel dates must fall between February 9 and March 31, while return travel must be completed by April 10.
American Airlines Opens First Class Award Availability on Transcontinental Flights
For a while it was tough to find first class availability on AA’s flagship transcon routes, even in the hours leading up to the flight. However, it seems that now First Class is once again easy to find within 2-3 days of departure.
Lufthansa Gives Triple Miles on Economy Flights from Germany
German airline Lufthansa is offering flyers three times the award miles on economy flights from Germany with its Miles & More program. The offer is available for flights now through April 30.
British Airways Will Launch Service from London Stansted Airport This May
British Airways will begin flying to and from London Stansted Airport (STN) this summer with service to vacation destinations like Faro in Portugal as well as Ibiza, Malaga and Palma in Spain. Although there aren’t any flights to the US from the airport, it’s a big airport for RyanAir flights to other parts of Europe.
