Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to travel.

Virgin America’s one-day flash deal is back today with flights starting from $37 one-way. The offer includes mostly regional flights, as well as a few transcon routes, although those are not quite as cheap. Virgin has a list of the applicable routes and their prices, however we were able to find a number of fares lower than the advertised price. There’s also the option to use points to book the discounted fares — awards begin at 1,070 Elevate points + $5.60.

The offer is available until 11:59 pm CT today, October 20, 2015, and some routes require advance purchase for close travel dates. Be sure to check the full terms of the offer as there are some limits to the promotion. If you’re booking an award flight, you can transfer points instantly from Membership Rewards earned with a card like the Amex Platinum, and you can even earn Elevate Status if you transfer 80,000 points or more.
