Maximize Your Spending

While Frontier may not be a part of a major alliance and these cheap flights won’t help toward any major elite status, you can still earn extra credit card points by using a card that maximizes airfare purchases. You can earn 3x on airfare with the Citi Premier® Card, or 2x with the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card. For more suggestions, check out Richard Kerr's post on maximizing airfare purchases.

How we chose these cards

Our points-obsessed staff uses a plethora of credit cards on a daily basis. If anyone on our team wouldn’t recommend it to a friend or a family member, we wouldn’t recommend it on The Points Guy either. Our opinions are our own, and have not been reviewed, approved, or endorsed by our advertising partners.
