Update: Some offers mentioned below are no longer available. Your summer vacation may have just gotten cheaper! Right now you can earn a one-time $75 statement credit by using your enrolled American Express card when you spend $350 or more at Hilton Hotels & Resorts between July 9, 2015 and September 8, 2015.

The TPG team has found the offer available on personal Amex cards like the Premier Rewards Gold Card, the Platinum Card and the Amex EveryDay Preferred, but not on co-branded cards such as the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express and The Business Platinum Card from American Express OPEN.

There are a few rules and restrictions:

  • You have to book directly with Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
  • The offer is not valid at Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Canopy by Hilton, Curio – A Collection by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton, Embassy Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Home2 Suites by Hilton and Hilton Grand Vacations.
  • In addition, it’s only valid at Hilton Hotels & Resorts in the US & US territories.

Despite those limitations, this is pretty easy money if you have a qualifying Hilton stay planned, and is a good reminder to anyone who hasn’t yet signed up for Amex Offers. As TPG has written about before, almost all Amex cards are eligible for these deals that are connected to your Amex account — some exceptions being American Express corporate cards, prepaid cards and the Target REDCard, and not all offers are available to all cards, as is the case with Hilton.

We’ve enrolled for this offer – have you?

To register for the offer and add it to your card, log in to your American Express account and scroll down to find your Amex Offers. Click the Add to Card tab for any offers that interest you (this may appear as the Save Offer tab for some accounts); once an offer is added, you can make qualifying purchases and earn your statement credit.

You can also link your Amex card to your Twitter or Facebook accounts, then follow the American Express Twitter feed or like the Amex Facebook page to see other offers like this one. You can even register for specific offers through Twitter; for example, after connecting your card, you can register for this Hilton offer simply by using the hashtag #AmexHilton.
