Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to travel.
We’ve seen quite a few economy sales to South America over the past few months, but business-class fares have typically been significantly higher. If you’re looking to fly from New York to Brazil or Colombia, however, there are now some deals to be had. You’ll get the best deal flying from New York (JFK), with nonstop flights to Bogota, Colombia (BOG) available for just $1,163 round-trip on Delta. And if you’re looking to travel to Brazil, you can snag fares from New York to São Paulo for just $1,670 on TAM.
Additionally, those fantastic business-class fares to Europe from earlier today are still available to book.
Here are a few examples of fares we found to South America:
New York (JFK)-Bogota (BOG) in late July for $1,163 on Delta (7,420 MQMs):
New York (JFK)-Bogota (BOG) in early August for $1,163 on Delta (7,420 MQMs):
