This $500,000 Tequila Tasting Includes a Flight in a Private Jet
Perhaps you’ve sipped Dom Pérignon in first class on the Thai Airways A380 or sampled varietals at the Amex Centurion Lounge at SFO — heck, maybe you’ve even Uber-helicoptered it out to the Hamptons — but it’s probably safe to say you’ve never done anything that comes close to Tequila Avión’s new offering. Billed as the “word’s most expensive tasting flight,” this $500,000, three-day experience will take up to 10 guests to the brand’s distillery in Jalisco, Mexico via a private Gulfstream.
Tequila Avión (yes, that means airplane) will provide a private tour of its distillery and host a tasting with the brand’s founder and master distiller. The package also includes a security detail, a private butler, accommodations at the luxurious Las Alamandas hotel and a professional photographer to document the whole journey.
The “bespoke travel experience” also includes a private dinner curated by Chef Josh Capon of El Toro Blanco in New York and the opportunity to create your own Anejo varietal and choose a barrel for aging. And, fitting with the whole trip’s exclusivity, participants will travel back home with a bottle of never-released tequila (which you could always try, likely unsuccessfully, to sell on eBay to recoup the $500k package price).
