Singapore Airlines Launches New App

Singapore Airlines has launched a new mobile app available on both Apple and Android. The new app allows customers to search, book and manage flights, check flight status with live flight updates, manage KrisFlyer accounts and more. Singapore will be soon be launching a new website as well.

Hawaiian Airlines Offers New "Hawaii-Inspired" Amenity Kits

Hawaiian Air is now offering new amenity kits on international flights in all cabins and in the first class cabin from JFK to Honolulu. The amenity kits are meant to evoke the tropical allure of the islands, and are designed with an exclusive Hawaiian print by Manuheali'i, a well-known Hawaiian designer. The kit features socks that say “E Hiamoe Maika‘I” (which means sleep well); toiletries from private label skincare brand Lōli‘I like hydrating mists, lip balm and lotion; a Hawaiian Airlines-branded bamboo comb and pen, a toothbrush, toothpaste, ear plugs, tissues and more.

British Airways will serve Iceland beginning this fall.

British Airlines to Launch Service to Iceland

Per AirlineRoute, British Airways will launch service to Iceland three times a week from London Heathrow beginning in October of 2015. These flights will be made on A320 aircraft, so don't expect any lie flat seats. Off-peak economy awards start at just 8,500 Avios each way, so if you're looking to hop over to Iceland from the UK, this could be a good option.

American Airlines Launches American Spotlight In-Flight Entertainment

American Airlines is expanding its selection of in-flight entertainment with newly released movies and TV programs, games, curated radio stations and more on all international flights, and soon to come on domestic flights as well. The airline will add streaming video to more than 200 planes this month to give you free entertainment on 97% of its domestic flights.
