Alaska Airlines Launches New Routes from Seattle

Beginning this fall, Alaska Airlines will launch nonstop service from Seattle to Charleston, South Carolina; Nashville, Tennesse; and Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. Introductory one-way fares starting at $139 to Charleston and Nashville and $159 to Raleigh/Durham are on sale on the Alaska Airlines website. Tickets must be purchased by May 4, 2015 with travel completed by Nov. 18, 2015 for Nashville and Raleigh/Durham, and by Dec. 19 for Charleston. Keep in mind that seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or all days, especially at the introductory price.

Reminder: United Offers Bonus Miles for Nepal Donatations

Nepal needs your help after a devastating earthquake last weekend. United Airlines is working with the Red Cross and other charity organizations to provide aid to those affected by the earthquake. If you’re a member of United’s MileagePlus program, they’ll reward you with MileagePlus miles if you make a donation to Airlink, AmeriCares, The American Red Cross, or Operation USA through this link. You’ll receive 250 miles when you donate $50-$99, 500 miles when you donate $100-$249, or 1,000 miles when you donate $250 or more. American Airlines will offer daily non-stop service between Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) and Beijing Capital International (PEK) starting on May 7, 2015, initially serviced by a Boeing 777-200 aircraft. Beginning June 2, 2015, this route will be serviced by American’s newest plane, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, featuring the airline’s signature Business Suite. To celebrate the launch of this new route, Business Extra members will receive double bonus points on any DFW to PEK flight through June. You must first register using promotion code DFWPEK15 and complete travel by June 30, 2015.
