Earlier this week, we wrote about how there was an Amazing Deal Alert: Business Class Washington Dulles- Beijing $462 R/T, which was a mistake fare.

Whenever there is a mistake fare, it’s always a question on whether or not the airline will honor the deal, and I’m happy to report that American Airlines will be honoring purchased tickets to China!

I reached out to them on Twitter, and they confirmed with this: American Airlines will honor mistaken Business Class fares to China that were fully purchased earlier this week.

One of the questions however, is what will happen to those who put tickets on hold, but didn’t purchase them, and American later cancelled them. Will American be forced to honor those as well? As of now it doesn’t appear that American will be honoring those, however that could change.

If you had a ticket on hold and it was cancelled and feel it should be honored, check out our post on How to File a DOT Complaint if you want to go that route.

Did you score a cheap Business Class ticket to China on American? Feel free to share your successes below!
