Hyatt recently launched two new all-inclusive brands, Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara, and to celebrate, they’re offering a special promotion for Hyatt Gold Passport Members of 50% off the daily rate and the fifth night free at any of five new properties. The daily rates may seem high, but keep in mind that they’re all-inclusive, so the rate covers all meals as well. The new properties include the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta (Mexico), Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall (Montego Bay, Jamaica), Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall (Montego Bay, Jamaica), Hyatt Zilara Cancun (Mexico) and the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos (Mexico).
Each property has specific stay dates (listed below), so make sure to book during those times to get the special offer. You must be a Hyatt Gold Passport member and your provide membership number at the time of reservation to qualify, and remember to use offer code ZZ5FRE when booking. Finally, make sure to book your stay by December 31, 2014 in order to obtain the lower rates.
The resorts vary in price and some have better availability than others. I recommend playing around with the dates at each property to find the best offer available. Note that even with the promo code, the prices don’t seem to reflect the 5th night free. However, Hyatt may have adjusted the prices of the other nights to reflect having one night free. You can see more clearly in the screenshot below. In any case, the rooms are discounted.
The Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, Mexico: This all-inclusive property is opening in December, 2014 and the stay dates valid with the promotion are January 1, 2015 – November 5, 2015. The Hotel is located on Mismaloya Beach, which is the region’s only private beach cove, less than 20 minutes from Puerto Vallarta International Airport.
The resort offers four restaurants (featuring international chef Maximo Lopez) complete with a tequila sommelier and tastings, three pools (including one for adults only), a spa, and a fitness center. All rooms have a balcony and rainfall shower, and some suites have private plunge pools. The all-inclusive plan includes unlimited alcoholic beverages.
When checking dates every month between January-May and again in September and October 2015, there was no availability! However, there was a different ‘sale rate’ with rooms starting at $304 in January and $369 in February.
The Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica: This new hotel has stay dates valid with the promotion between November 23, 2014 – November 5, 2015. The hotel offers free WiFi, offers the Hyatt Club level option, two pools, three jacuzzis, and airport transfers. The all-inclusive plan includes unlimited alcoholic beverages as well as several dining options. There are 387 rooms and suites, which feature furnished terraces, rainfall showers, and designer bath amenities. The deal is available for February dates at $480 per night (discount applied) for two people.
The Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica: This adults-only resort has stay dates valid with the promotion between November 23, 2014 – November 5, 2015. The hotel, described as an “adult escape,” offers 14 pools, nine restaurant options, and plenty of daily and nightly activities. The all-inclusive plan includes unlimited alcoholic beverages.
Its 234 rooms and suites feature either a pool or sea view, king bed, furnished terrace, and a fully stocked bar. Rates in February start at $432 per night for two people; however, several dates in January were unavailable at the promotional price.
The Hyatt Zilara Cancun, Mexico: This adults-only resort has stay dates valid with the promotion between January 3, 2015 – October 1, 2015. The property is located right on the beach in the heart of Cancun’s hotel zone, and features several pools, tennis courts, a spa, fitness center, and beach butlers. The all-inclusive plan offers unlimited alcoholic beverages and several dining options.
All of the rooms are suites, and each features a double whirlpool tub, ocean view terrace, and pillow menu. The most premium options are swim-up suites with hammocks in the balcony. Again, the website repeatedly told me that rooms were unavailable with the specific promotional rate; however another ‘sale rate’ was offered at $448 per night for two people in January.
The Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, Mexico: This resort is re-opening in April of 2015, and therefore has stay dates valid with the promotion between April 30, 2015 – November 5, 2015. Located close to both the airport and the town of San Jose de Los Cabos, the beachfront property features several pools, a kids water play area, fitness center, and family activities.
The all-inclusive plan offers unlimited alcoholic beverages and several dining options. All of the 619 rooms are suites, ranging from standard to swim-up. All of them feature a hydro-massage bathtub, Topline electronics, free WiFi, and garden, pool, or sea views. Rates in early May start at just $232 for two people (discount applied).
The best deal of the five is clearly the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, although that would be more of a spring getaway, as the resort doesn’t re-open until the end of April. Beyond that, rates at the Hyatt Puerto Vallarta are also fairly low, even though the special deal doesn’t have much (if any) availability. In any case, it’s unclear whether the fifth night is really “free” for any of these deals.
