Virgin America Launches Codeshare Flights With China Airlines

Virgin America now has a codeshare agreement with China Airlines. Per the new arrangement, China Airlines has put their two-letter airline code (CI) on a range of Virgin America flights between Los Angeles and/or San Francisco to Boston, Chicago, Dallas Love Field, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Newark, New York (JFK), Seattle and Washington Dulles (IAD). Customers can now book flights across the United States with Virgin America via China Airlines’ website as of October 26, 2014.

Frontier Adds Award Redemption Fee

As of October 31, Frontier is introducing an award ticket fee, which can be up to $75 for award tickets booked less than 180 days in advance. You can avoid this fee by using your Frontier MasterCard to pay for the taxes and fees used to reserve the ticket ($5.60 & up), and the fee will be then be waived. Also, starting on November 1, 2015, cardholders will no longer receive a 5,000 mile discount on companion ticket award redemptions.
