Iceland’s low-cost carrier WOW Air is launching service from to Reykjavik from Boston (BOS) and Baltimore (BWI), beginning in March and June of 2015, respectively. And WOW are they doing it in style, offering great deals on flights from both destinations not only to Iceland, but also to other European destinations like London and Copenhagen.
You can now book travel from Boston and Washington on WOW Air for next year, with several weekly flights between Iceland and the new destinations. A search in June turned up this round-trip itinerary from BWI for 224 Euros ($284).
You can find round-trip flights to London and Copenhagen for about $250 and $230, respectively.
One-way flights are cheaper outbound, like the one below to London for just $99. Even if you’re not planning a trip to London, these flights could provide an inexpensive way to get to Europe, especially if you can book award travel for your return.
You can book as far out as next September, so there’s plenty of latitude to make travel plans that suit your schedule. While there doesn’t seem to be a published end date to these fares, I recommend buying soon so you don’t miss out.
I spent an awesome five days in Iceland last year, and I hope you’ll be able to do the same.
